"Hi I'm Forrest, Forrest gump!"

I prefer to use my time playing with the latest video games, though.

Which video games go you like?
Personally I find them all too expensive.

"Never give up, never surrender!"
Galaxy Quest - of course Wink

"So many social engagements, so little time.”
Raising Arizona

“I’m your huckleberry…"
Tombstone

“To love another person is to see the face of God.”
― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables

As for the latest video games - I leave that to my son, although our whole family quotes movies during the course of a normal day...

Do you ever watch suits?
Often the characters will slip in film quotes throughout episodes!
It is easily missed but fun when noticed

Love Suits! Although current season seems to have gone a bit awry. But yes - Harvey and Mike do a great job with the movie quotes.

I watch it I sometimes notice that yes. I found the show to be a little bit repetitive.

"Buddy the elf, what's your favourite colour? "
From elf when buddy answers the office phone haha

I don't have much time to watch tv and obviously one of the reasons we are all on this forum is for a shared appreciation of Tim Allen's work. So at the risk of sounding cliche - I really appreciate the intelligence and humor of Last Man Standing. I do watch Suits but I agree that you are very correct chronometery - it is quite repetitive and has lost some of its appeal. What I enjoy is studying the characters as they move through their scenes - Lewis Lit's character is fascinating and the actor does a great job. I can feel sympathy and repulsion in the same thirty seconds when watching him...he has so much angst but can be so pure too.

I am watching season one of The West Wing because I am a writer and I am studying some of Aaron Sorkin's material - he is known for his dialogue and when I finish my current novel, I intend on also making it a screenplay. I am really looking forward to the premiere of "Better Late Than Never" that includes William Shatner and Henry Winkler. My primary motive? I love to laugh!

I watched stranger things.
I watched it and watched it.
It seems to me that you know when you have found a good show when you find yourself watching episode after episode without reprieve.
I would recommend it to anyone

That is a great litmus test! I find it especially true when you are dealing with life's difficulties and need a little down time - and that is the show you choose.

A writer indeed!
I would have taken days to articulate those thoughts.
I sometimes find myself thinking back to shows like home improvement and thinking....will they make them like that anymore?
Is this a realistic view or perhaps nostalgia.?
Whatever the answer I'm sure I am bias when it comes to 80 and 90s shows.
I think that is why I like Stranger things so much.
It appeals to my ideas of a better time although this statement is juxtaposed with the narrative of the show and its residential being.

I think it says alot about you, what shows you watch that is. I often wonder if there is something out there which I am missing because I always seem to catch shows on the fourth season or something. Just once would like to see something from the start. And game of thrones was ruined for me when I was trying to catch up on seasons. How can I forget!

DOCTOR WHO!!!!

Love that show

In my optimism (which I refuse to give up on), I would say a bit of both...I have the same bias but I believe shows like Home Improvement not only make us laugh, but speak to us on a deeper level. Nostalgia yearns for times gone by but ultimately, deep down, I think we all yearn for those same things regardless of the time we are living in - simplicity, love, family, integrity, compassion, the desire to be a part of something greater than ourselves, these things never go out of fashion...

I have netflix so I will definitely check out Stranger Things. My current WIP is a science fiction novel.
