.. ive noticed that every year or so, a movie comes out that is said to be based on or inspired by true events, but they seem more crazy every year ....

lets put a the world ending movies aside for a second...

1 - the texas chainsaw massacre - this one had solid facts , it was based on ed gein, who was a very sick serial killer

2 - the strangers - people with bags on thier heads who murder people in the woods -- kinda crazy

3 - the amity ville horror - a huanted house that caused a guy to murder his family --- really???

4 - the exorcism of emily rose - personally just the trailer of this move freaked me out terribly, but the movie was based on a girl who was said to be possesed by the devil, .. the devil isnt real, how can it posses you??? -- seems kinda rediculous

5 - the haunting in conneticut - this one i bought, because i saw the real story on discovery with the actual family who lived it, the movie was exaggerated alot though

6 - the fourth kind - this was wacky, a story of alien abduction in a small town, a bunch of people disappeared , and when no other explanation came , they said it was aliens --- really???

***this is all just my opinion****

anyone agree with me that these get crazier as they come out?

anyone disagree with my opinions?

Of course they get crazier! It's what ppl expect and want to see. If the new movies aren't more spectecular than the old ones why should the audience go and see them?
If SAW 5 were just the same level as SAW 1 nobody would ever want to watch SAW 23... 35 or 41

... i was only talking about movies that allegedly have a real story (based on something that ACTUALLY HAPPENED) behind them, i dont care about saw, thats just random and pointless killing, that movie is just stupid

Sorry! Embarassed Didn't get it...

I think it's the stories they pick. A lot of crazy stuff happens on this planet, but why would they pick a boring topic over one that is exciting. And the next question would be: How much of the movies story really happened and how much is "artistic license"?
