Tim,
I have an idea but can't seem to get it out on paper. How do you take an inspiration and turn it into something tangible? |

Focus and work. Outline ideas works for me. Then I put them on a board so I see them daily. Work to progress ideas step by step. Set goals and move to that goal step by step. |

Ya know what.... I don't think there's a board big enough to put my three thousand posts on AND see them daily........
I'm sure that's good advice though. I'd love to work, progress ideas.... step by step. But, so far, it's just not happening for me. I seem to have major issues with concentration & focus. |

I've been working the way it's been suggested before... write down what you got in mind and put it together later... Build a frame for the story.. et cetera bla bla. The result is, I haven't been writing in months cause I'm stuck at several points. What do I do now? |

Hasepup, as you know by now, I finally solved my “focus” problem. No easy task, because the creative mind is like a miniature galaxy; concentrating on only one planet at a time before beaming to the next is very difficult for those who are easily distracted by a sudden meteor shower.
I think you should try a creative exercise, like writing some memoirs; maybe your earliest spots memory. What attracted you to that blog? Was it the warbling nonsense about a captain? Or was it the random unanswered letters being written by someone who seemed to be going on endlessly about camel spiders?
Do you think camel spiders are a metaphor?
That’s metaphor, not meteor.
LOL. |

Hasepup.... I'm beginning to suspect what I see as metaphoric is only going to be seen as mediocre....... |

I've been writing lately. Wrote a few songs since last time I mentioned writing. |

Thank you, bermudagirl, I’ve been planning on a blog, possibly facebook or twitter; where my unique “verbage” may get more comments than I do here.
At least that’s what I hope.
But first I have to finish the writing “project” I started, which is something of a blog in itself, I guess.
Anyway, thanks!
P.S. to joalis; do you have a blog somewhere to show your songs? |

Are there any blogs that you know of that aren't standard chronological 'journal' format? If there aren't any, there should be. |

I love the way this site is set up; the posts are in order, like reading a book. I would like to set up a blog like that, so far the ones I see won't allow me to write a "book", because the most recent post will be read first.
joalis; why don't you blog your songs? |

I'd rather have them sung than blogged |
