Watch the movie "Mask" with Eric Stoltz (and Cher). There is a good scene where Eric Stoltz's character explains color to a blind girl using her sense of touch. I think blue was ice. |

For me the colour blue would be sort of..carefree...sorrowfree...like a beautiful blue summer sky. Red might be hot.
Yellow....I don't know something between warmth and envy.
Green and brown would definitely have to deal with nature.
Best to explain would be black...complete darkness should be easily understood by a blind person.
When it comes to all shades of darker grey, I would say fear...and a lighter grey seems boring to me.
Pink (rosa) is sweet. |

Describe it in terms of frequency of radiation, to start. A blind person would have a feel for frequency (perhaps by a different name) of sound, or touch.
Radiation ranges continuously from frequencies too high to see (such as those which cause a sunburn) to those to low to see (such as radio). In between is a smaller range called visible light. The highest frequency is called violet(?); the lowest red(?). Blue is in between.
Perhaps illustrate with sounds.
Just an almost ex-physicist's random thought -- |
