I was tracking Sundance films and noticed you attended Mike Binders premiere. It reminded me of your desire to direct. I was wondering if you had the wheels in motion on a directing project. Also, would you take the film festival route for premiering your directorial debut?

I am interested in the role and creative view included in a director’s job. Add to that my increasing desire to vent my own ideas clear and clean of attachments makes directing attractive. Now with that said- the outlet, whether it be Sundance or broad release, will be more of a function of the budget and focus of the project than my preference.

But what if you could keep the budget and focus where you wanted it? Would you consider your own independent film? I would love to see you go for this...you've certainly paid your dues, come up through the ranks ...help always comes in unexpected ways once we commit, you know? For me, the hardest part is always the commitment...saying yes to what I want. That's the scariest part...L.

Clean and clear of attachments while keeping the budget and focus where you want it. Full creative control is a beautiful thing. It's one of the many things I admire about Charlie Chaplin. He knew how to get HIS vision on screen.
I agree lg, once you commit, things begin to strangly fall into place...as long as you have a fantastic script.

Tim, It has been too quiet about any directing project you are working on. You have such an interest in Sci Fi is this where you will start? Any particular topic you have thought about?

Designer, I ask because you are very good, from your work, at helping people with their dreams. lol

As I have mentioned before in other topics, I would love to see Tim finish writing "Gravitron" and get the wheels in motion to get this off the ground. This is the Sci-Fi he has been writing and re-writing for over 10 years.

By his own descriptions Tim is very good at multi-tasking. He has already mixed acting and writing at the same time. Now the question is would you want to both write and direct full-time at the same time? Then again, if you have been writing something for 10 years, you probably know it inside and out and would make it a lot easier as a Director.

Maybe we should just ask, what is the project that if offered to you to direct that you just could not refuse?
