I was just curious if you ever do meet and greet after your shows. My brother and I go to alot of concerts at the Emerald Queen Casino and are planning to attend your stand up performance Oct 10th. We are huge fans and would love to meet ya. I met Richard Karn at his Charity Baseball games and he always says you're a great guy. So hope to hear from ya either way Smile

I also hope to catch one of his shows this fall, if I can ever get out of the swamp here; lol.

I met him in Niagara Falls. Seen him preform 3x. He will leave you laughing all the way home. Worth every penny to see an icon like him. He is kind, sincere and genuine too. I am sure the meet and greets are pricey but hey, only live once

That is so cool you got to meet him! I had a brief encounter with Warwick Davis last weekend at Star Wars Celebration; he was on a break & kind enough to stop for a photo, wow, I was thrilled! I've since watched his HBO series Life Is Too Short; lol, very wicked humor in that; he is comic genius!

Anyway, hope I can catch one of Tim's shows this fall; that's the plan........................

I live in Canada but took our honeymoon in LA. We booked to see Last Man Standing and got to see Tim doe his magic in front of the camera. Tickets are free. Its well worth going. To see how a T.V. Show is made is awesome. Think google tvtickets free oir something. Just plan and book it. Highly recommend it. They interact with the audience, give gifts and feed ya! Just awesome. I sat behind Tims wife and Rick Dees. I never said nothing because I didn't want to bother them.

I often think. Wow I waited 20 years to meet my favourite actor and comedian. I am just a decent normal fan. Then I read on TMZ about all the freeks ad geeks stalkers who sit at there house(where I just drove by as a tourist snapped a pic and left 20 sec later) and these people stating they have relationships etc and these stars end up getting restraining orders, peace bonds etc after these crazed fans.

My question is how does a star/celebrity determine who is sincere and genuine fan and who is a nut job?

Some might think, hey Tom is a nut case because he waited 20 years to shake Tims hand. Not at all. I have no desire to stalk him, follow him or etc. If anything d like to shoot the breeze and talk shop about cars again one day or see his garage..

But some of these fans RUIN it for what I believe is a genuinse fan like us. We grew up watching HI, all his movies and enjoy all the laughs he brings us. Nothing wrong with wanting to meet someone famous and say thank you. Is it?

I also think sometimes, stars think all of us are overzelous. Not true. There has only ever been three people on TV I ever wanted to meet. Tim Allen,Jay Leno and Chop Foose. All whom I have met. Why? Cause I am a huge gear head. If Tom Cruise(bless his spaceship 4ft tall scientologist nutjob life) I would walk right past him. There are very few people famous I have any desire to be in the same room with. I have met many many famous people because I was there. Some stars have been the most down to earth people I have met, because I treated them as a human being. Id admit, when I met Tim...bla bla bla du'h came out of my mouth, I was a tad more relaxed with Jay. But if I ever got to talk to Tim again, it would be about cars. Im sure he would appreciate it.

I think some stars need to know we are not all nut jobs, crazed fans...some of us are normal fans with no intent of anything but well wishes.
I know I have a thread on meeting Dr.Sanjay Gupta. Not because I am a fan but the only reason is to get on TV and spread awareness of the disease I have for the 0.01 % of the world population who suffers. No other reason.

Well Tim, Adminette, if you read this...not all of us are nuts !!! We are just fans, respect and admire Tims work. And some of us are gear heads too RRR

I guess anyone who has a passion for something can be accused of being overzealous.... and to that I say, "oh, whatever." lol.

But celebs do have to be cautious because unfortunately crazy people are definitely out there. Did you see the news story about the woman who had her 2 year old child grabbed from her & held at knife point while she was shopping at a Walmart ?

In fact, last week while waiting for my cousin I had stepped outside of Caesar's Palace to admire the city lights and sure enough I had a scary incident with a man who went after me & caused me to flea into a nearby crowd of people.

I will be a lot more careful next time I'm out..... you can't live in fear but you do have to be aware of your surroundings no matter who you are.

As for being star struck; guilty as charged! Anytime I get a mere tweet from a celeb it delights me. Meeting anyone in entertainment always dazzles for some reason, but I've found if I can talk to a person long enough the nerves finally relax. And Tom Cruise, are you kidding? I love his movies & would probably "faint" if I met him.... but then I'm female so go figure; lol. As for his religion.... I'm a work in progress in trying to respect the beliefs of others... sometimes my humor gets in the way, but I don't like it when my faith is mocked either.

Anyway, Tim's show really was great; loved it & the meet & greet & would certainly do it again. I saw he added some more fall dates, so you never know.... oh, wait, maybe not.... don't want to be "overzealous" LOL.

Kidding. Always.....
