Can someone please explain to me what exactly a magnet is, how does it work?

Why do they ignore many fundamental scientific rules? Why do they seem to mess up when calculating gravity, accelleration, and friction?

here are some simple concepts and none by the way cause mess ups in calculations

static electrons cause electric fields
electrons moving at a constant velocity cause magnetic fields
electrons accelerating cause electro-magnetic radiation
